In this inaugural seminar I plan to give a brief history of the Hearing Research Center at the University of Florida, and discuss reasons why we should all be interested in seeing this group thrive moving into the future. I will give a broad overview of research in my laboratory, with an emphasis on developing collaborations as a way to promote discussion about how we might ensure the future success of the Hearing Research Center here in northern Florida.
